getting up 2

Friday, April 25

Today is ANZAC day.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

With the war finishing up in Iraq it seems very timely to be thinking about this. Growing up this was always a special day (it is a holiday for a start) back home. And I do happen to cherish the ideals of courage, loyalty and mateship. I even went to a service this year as there was one in the war memorial in the building.
