getting up 2

Thursday, July 31

What is Australia coming to when separate waiting rooms at GP's can be discussed as an option. I can still remember when phases like "a fair go" meant something back home. Income equality seems to have gone the way of our public services. With the rising gap between rich and poor and "user pays" mentality seemly becoming a way of life I wonder what it will really be like when I do return home. I don't think it will be the same Australia that I left.

Is this the generation gap that I have heard so much about? Will I shortly start saying things like "in my day".... Is it outdated to believe in ethos of free healthcare.
